Chapter 21 Adile is injured

Lu Chen quickly looked over and saw Adile in the passenger seat, his body stained with blood, while the driver was slumped over the steering wheel, clearly shot and dead. The Hummer did not stop and continued to move forward. If it continued like this, Adile would be in great danger if it overturned.

At that moment, two pickup trucks had already sped past. Lu Chen knew the situation was critical; if they missed this opportunity to pass, Adile would be in danger. Thinking of this, he shouted, "Alex, back up! I need to get in Adile's car!"

However, Lu Chen dared not stop, after all, Rahman's men were still there, and Adile was lying on top of him, obviously unconscious due to his gunshot wound.

He turned Adile over and placed him on the ground. Adile struggled to his feet, and then loud gunfire erupted behind him. Alex was firing.

The submachine gun had fallen during the rescue and was nowhere to be found. He took out his pistol, loaded it, and saw several armed men flanking Alex from the side.

He gripped the gun with both hands and pulled the trigger without hesitation. Several shots rang out, and three militants screamed and fell to the ground.

Suddenly, the sound of a car came from behind. Lu Chen turned around and saw that it was Mike and his men. The pickup truck sped over, and Anthony and Mike opened fire from inside the vehicle.

Rahman's men originally numbered only a dozen or so. Lu Chen had just killed seven or eight of them, and now with the arrival of Mike and his two companions, a charge ensued, and more than a dozen militants were killed.

The pickup truck sped up beside Lu Chen and slammed on the brakes. Mike jumped out and asked with concern, "Chen, are you alright?"

Despite the pain in his back, Lu Chen managed to say, "It's alright, I won't die. Go check on Adile." He then struggled to his feet.

When Anthony saw Lu Chen's back covered in blood, he quickly said, "You said you were fine? Quickly lie down on the car, I'll bandage you up."

Her words made James feel a little awkward, but he knew this wasn't the time to be jealous, since the only person present was Anthony.

Lu Chen gritted his teeth and nodded. It was really too painful. He lay in the back of the pickup truck.

Mike and the others loaded Adile onto the pickup truck, and Anthony treated Lu Chen's wounds in the back of the truck.

After a quick disinfection, Lu Chen chewed on a piece of wood, making humming sounds.

Anthony joked, "I'm telling you, Lu Chen, don't make that kind of noise. It's easy for people to misunderstand."

Lu Chen was speechless. Even at a time like this, he was still joking. He gave a wry smile and said, "This joke is not funny at all."

Anthony used scissors to cut off Lu Chen's clothes on the back, wiped them clean, disinfected and applied medicine, and then wrapped a gauze around them.

Lu Chen breathed a sigh of relief; he was finally done. He struggled to sit up. The pickup truck was driving back, and Anthony was sitting next to him.

He felt a chill run down his back and looked at Anthony, saying, "Could you please take care of the injured? At least give me a coat to wear."

Of course, there was a hint of irony in his tone; sometimes joking with women could relieve his pain.

Anthony looked at Lu Chen, then at his own clothes, and said, "How about I take off my clothes and give them to you? But I'm only wearing underwear underneath."

Lu Chen was speechless. He had intended to make a joke, but someone had turned it back on him. He shook his head and said, "Never mind, it's fine as it is now. It's quite cool."

The pickup truck soon returned to the village, where the jackal was standing uneasily at the door, looking around.

He saw the pickup truck return and staggered towards it. Seeing Lu Chen injured, he asked with concern, "Lu Chen, are you alright? What happened?"

"Alright, let's go inside and talk," Lu Chen said quickly, then put his arm around Jackal's shoulder and walked inside.

Meanwhile, Mike James and his men carried Adile into the yard and went directly into the underground parking garage.

The safest place in this village should be the basement. Adile's identity is extraordinary, which is why Mike takes special care of him.

Anthony was in charge of medical care for the werewolf mercenary group. After a brief examination of Adile, he said seriously, "He was shot in the head and arm. He passed out because of a head injury."

Mike, Lu Chen, and the others breathed a sigh of relief. If Adile was alright, then everyone was alright.

"Anthony, James, you two take care of Adile's wound. Alex, take the security guards and keep watch," Mike quickly instructed.

He turned to look at Jackal and Lu Chen, and after a long silence, he said with a serious expression, "Adilai failed to leave and was attacked by Rahman. Rahman will definitely not let this go. They will attack this place soon. Once the fighting starts, it is very likely that the entire village, including us, will be wiped out."

His meaning was clear: Rahman's numbers were too large, and once they attacked, it would be a tough battle. The werewolf mercenary group only had five members, and they couldn't defeat them; they were very likely to be wiped out.
