Mercenaries are King

Chapter 7 My Playstyle

Chapter 7 My Playstyle

At this moment, Lu Chen really wanted to beat him up, preferably until he was lying on the ground with his teeth knocked out and couldn't get up, but he knew that now was not the time to start an internal conflict.

"Hey, Lu Chen, don't get excited," Alex, who was sitting next to Lu Chen, quickly said.

Lu Chen loosened his grip on Mike's collar, sneered, and said, "If it were me, I would split into two groups and proceed simultaneously. One group would be escorted by security company personnel as usual, while the other group, escorted by the Werewolf Mercenary Group, would take a different route and leave this place quickly. That's what you call a feint attack, understand?"

The person died, the matter was not resolved, and all that nonsense about feinting to the east while attacking to the west was, at best, a feint to the east.

Mike reacted quickly; his eyes lit up, and he clapped his hands, saying, "That's right! How come I didn't think of that? Lu Chen, you're that reincarnated Zhuge Liang. So, how do we complete the mission now?"

Lu Chen knew that Mike was talking about the fifth vehicle. He didn't even know what they were escorting, how big or heavy it was, let alone how to complete the mission.

He shook his head and said, "We can only make a decision after we see what we're escorting."

Mike leaned closer and whispered, "We're escorting an air defense and anti-missile radar system imported from Russia."

Lu Chen was completely stunned. "Damn, they dared to take this mission? Isn't that courting death? This thing is a hot commodity not only in Iraq, but all over the world. No wonder the anti-government forces are willing to do anything to find it."

Moreover, this thing is so big that it can't be hidden, and there's no way to transport it out.

He touched Mike's forehead and shook his head, saying, "Mike, you don't have a fever, you're perfectly lucid. This mission of yours will cost us all our lives."

Just then, the Hummer braked suddenly and came to a stop. James shouted, "Boss, we're here!"

Mike patted Lu Chen on the shoulder, gave a wry smile, and said, "This is a big job, but it's also a lucrative one. Two million is enough for us to live it up for a while. Besides, you don't have to think about it; you've already successfully tied yourself to us." After he finished speaking, he laughed twice, pushed open the car door, and got out.

Lu Chen was utterly speechless. If he had known it would turn out like this, he would have preferred to return to China and be hunted down all over the world. This thing is so big and so obvious that it's hard to keep it hidden. There's no way to escort it unless you fight your way through.

He shook his head helplessly and followed them down. He followed Mike and the others into an abandoned courtyard, where more than a dozen local security guards were stationed.

When they saw Mike and the others arrive, a middle-aged Black man walked over and said in the local language, "Manager, you've arrived."

Mike nodded to the man and said, "You stay here. No one is allowed to come in." He waved to Lu Chen and the others and walked towards a house.

Soon the group arrived at the house. The house was made of wood. Mike easily pushed open the door and quickly found a hidden door. After entering his fingerprint and password, the hidden door opened, revealing a staircase leading underground.

These actions left Lu Chen secretly astonished. No wonder Big Beard and his men couldn't find it. Even if they did, they couldn't open it without fingerprints and a password. If they used explosives, such sophisticated equipment would be useless if destroyed. From this perspective, Mike did have some brains.

He followed at the back of the group, now dressed in Gabriel's gear and holding a submachine gun, cautiously looking around as he descended.

The further they went, the more open the space became. Finally, they reached the bottom. The space in front of them was so vast that even Lu Chen could not see the end. In front of them was a huge military green vehicle equipped with a radar system.

Lu Chen knew that this radar system alone would cost hundreds of millions. He didn't know who the owner was, but such high technology was something that ordinary people couldn't afford on the Iraqi battlefield.

Mike walked over, stood in front of Lu Chen, smiled, and said, "So, is there any way to get it out?"

Lu Chen immediately shook his head and said, "This thing is so big. Once it's out there, it'll become a target for various armed factions. We won't even know how we died."

He paused for a moment and continued, "I suggest we abandon the mission." It wasn't that he was backing down, but this thing was just too conspicuous. With only five of them, they would probably be wiped out before they even left Gangdi Town.

Mike leaped onto the hood of the car, waved to Lu Chen and the others, and gestured for them to come over.

Lu Chen and the others gathered around, all looking at Mike. At this moment, even James Anthony began to doubt whether they could get the goods out and whether they could survive to get the commission.

Mike coughed loudly and said, "Do you know who the employer is?" He then looked at everyone.

James, who had been holding back for a while, said loudly, "Boss, we've been wanting to know for a long time, so tell us already."

"Ibn Abdullah, the commander of the Massan provincial government forces, is Rahman's mortal enemy. Now that we have killed Rahman's younger brother, we have no choice but to cooperate with Ibn. Completing the escort mission is our way of showing our sincerity," Mike said solemnly.

Anthony said, "Once we complete the mission, we'll have Ibn's coattails, and we'll be safe."

"Smart," Mike said, giving Anthony a thumbs-up.

Lu Chen was speechless. If the escort mission was completed, they would definitely be safe. But could the mission be completed? Once the radar vehicle drove out, it would be the focus of everyone's attention.

He shook his head and said, "Boss, how are we going to get this thing out? We can't just fly over there, can we?"

But he soon had a new question: the previous trucks couldn't fit the radar vehicle, so why would the militants attack the convoy? It didn't make sense.

However, he still didn't bring up the question; at this point, asking about it was pointless.

But Mike seemed to sense Lu Kang's confusion and nodded to him, saying, "We have already made contact with Commander Ibn, and they will send a regiment to provide support."

"The reason they attacked the truck earlier was because I deliberately spread the news that the radar system had been dismantled and the parts were placed on the fifth vehicle. When they discovered the vehicle had been blown up, they doubted that the previous statement was correct and that the radar system was still in the company's possession," Mike continued.

"So the bearded man led a group to attack the company because they were looking for the radar system," Lu Chen couldn't help but say. At this moment, all the questions were answered.

"That's right, there's only one problem we didn't expect, which is that you killed Big Beard, leaving us with no choice but to wait for Commander Ibn's men to come to our aid. Once Ibn's men arrive, we'll be safe," Mike said with a smile.

Lu Chen frowned slightly. Now that Rahman had issued a bounty, and a large number of armed men were coming, even if Ibn's men came, could this thing be safely delivered? Even if it could, would Ibn accept them?

He looked at Mike, shook his head, and said, "Mike, we should sit down and analyze this matter carefully, and eliminate all the potential dangers we can think of."
